With a little Wiggle we can create a fun & playful class for bigger Kids too!
Benefits of Yoga for Kids
WiggleKids fits within Key Stage 1 & 2, providing lots of opportunity to develop physically, emotionally & mentally. Your WiggleKid will grow in self awareness, stimulating a natural curiosity in their own health & well-being, whilst gaining a complete understanding of who they are and their place in this world. Combine this with the fun and interactive story telling, yoga and sensory play, the WiggleKids class will be an all round hit!
Being a child nowadays can be very hard work, with high expectations heaped upon them from school, the mental load is getting heavier and heavier and can have a great impact, emotionally and mentally, stressing them out.
Our classes give them an opportunity to put that mental load down and connect back into being a child. To truly understand that they are not their behaviour, their grades, their ability to perform well, letting go the need to please another just for a bit. To have fun and to be happy in the now, with who they are and not what they do is a small opportunity for them to feel their feelings, be heard and held and respected in that. A little moment in a busy week, where they glimpse how marvellous being with one's self, quiet & reflective truly is. A taste of connection to something deeper and wider than ourselves, our families, our friends, tapping into that larger 'thing' that has many names, that can be felt in those precious moments of calm.
A WiggleKids class includes yoga, breath-work, sound work, visualisations, story telling & sensory play and when practiced throughout the first 12 years of life can be tremendously beneficial in theyears to come. The mindfulness, breathing and relaxation techniques become second nature, a natural response to life's tricky situations, helping the child move through difficult feelings rather than becoming stuck in them.

Each layer of the WiggleKids class develops important brain structures and neural pathways in spacial awareness, developing all of the senses, enhancing language and communication skills. Each child grows belief in themselves and confidence in their abilities as well as establishing a good yoga and mindfullness practice that will stand them in good stead as they navigate childhood and early teens.
Our children are forming beliefs, judgements and opinions from gestation to the age 7 and then reinforcing them through experience. They will already have a map of their world that they reference and make decisions from, albeit limited. Remember, reality is simply a point of view, so through stimulation & encouragement we can help our children change their perception of themselves and their abilities, reinforcing the good in each and every child through movement, mindfulness and positive language. All this is neatly combined with easy to use mindfulness tips and tricks that they can use, day to day, when faced with the challenges of growing up. |

Mindset Matters For Kids!
Using the 'Mindset Matters' playsheets we take the children on a journey of self discovery. A series of practical yet fun processes, yoga moves & mindfulness techniques designed to work steadily with the children.
Establish a positive growth mindset and enhance emotional well-being using meditation and mantras, movement and music. The children learn a set of tools and life skills that can be used day to day and throughout their life and into adulthood. The Mindset Matters program can be run as a breakfast, lunch or after school club and will enhance confidence and self-esteem in who the children believe they are and in what they can do. |
Many children and young adults feel like they don't have much control in how they think and feel.
By teaching them some simple techniques that they can apply on a daily or weekly basis can make a real difference to their mental health.

Benefits of Mindfulness for Children
Concentration - Developing their ability to focus for longer is important for learning and doing. Observational Skills - Develops their sense of self and other. Helping them to respond to situations with greater skill by picking up on the subtler communications. Safety - Feeling secure in themselves and their place in the world frees them up to explore and learn. Emotions - Understanding, normalising and managing emotions means, they are more likely to cleanly move through tricky situations, letting go of anything that no longer serves them. They are more likely then to feel empathy towards others. Enabling stronger friendships that supports connection, integrity, authenticity, generosity, helpfulness, gratitude and happiness. Rest and Relax - Such an important skill to learn. To renew and replenish is super important for our bodies and minds to grow and expand. Kids are often exhausted and need time for their nervous system to rest and rejuvenate. This ought to be happening throughout the day as well as good sleeps at night. |
The ability to express and manage one’s emotions with understanding and awareness comes with practice and guidance.
Mindfulness is simply the art of being awake in the moment - of bringing our attention into the now. Of tuning into the present, stilling our minds and slowing down.
Being awake in the moment brings us time to be in creation rather than in reaction. In this place of being, we can choose to move our focus of attention from what we don’t what to have happen, to what we do want to have happen. Then we can consciously create the steps to take us there.
It’s a powerful, creative and fun way to live. Learning to gently reign in our minds from worrying about the future and fretting about the past, is an effective way of becoming co-creators of our lives. We can use all of our senses to do it. Slowing down time with our breath, listening, feeling, smelling, sense/seeing with our whole selves brings us back into our bodies, grounded and present.
