Frequently Asked Questions
What Is a WiggleBums/Kids class
WiggleBums is a yoga, mindfulness and sensory play class and is suitable for children from walking to age 12 and their grown ups. Following a familiar format each week and exploring different themes, each class includes warm-ups, yoga poses, story-telling, mindfulness games and sensory play with music from around the world. All designed to support a child’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual development, while growing a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around. And you get to do some yoga too!
We've Never Done Any Yoga Before, Is That Ok?
No previous yoga experience is necessary! In fact we estimate that around 80-90% of our students are brand new to yoga when they come along to our classes and have decided to give us a go because they have heard how good it will be for their child’s emotional well-being. Our classes aim to provide an opportunity for children to explore and be around yoga and try our unique mindfulness tools and methods which help positively parent the next generation.
I’m Pregnant can I do the yoga?
Yes, our classes have been modified for the ever changing and growing child’s body and so the poses we choose to use are suitable for you too. All our teachers have been taught to teach within LushTums Safe Practice Guide Lines and the Do's and Don’ts suggested for pregnancy; just let you teacher know. And have look for a LushTums class near you.
I’ve just had a baby can I join in a WiggleBums Class?
You can come to class and be around all the lushness we have to offer but we recommend that you actively join in the yoga element from 6 weeks after a vaginal delivery. If you have had a caesarean delivery, please wait 8 weeks for some additional healing to take place. It’s a good idea to check with your Doctor or midwife before practicing. Remember follow your body and only ever do what feels right for you.
How Often Are the Classes Run?
Our classes run with the school term dates so this can be 5/6 or 7 weekly blocks of 45 or 75 minute sessions; depending if Snack Time is included. Many of our teachers run holiday club sessions; these are loads of fun and details can be found on our What’s On Page.
Do We Need A Yoga Mat?
All of our teachers will provide you and your child with a yoga mat and some blankets and pillows so you can be more comfortable. If you wish to bring your own or your child has a favourite blankie or soft toy then please do. Let your teacher know if you are bringing more that one child so they can provide an extra mat for you all.
What Do We Wear?
Wear loose, comfy clothes you can move around in on your mat - leggings and a t-shirt is fine. You don’t need anything too sporty or specific, just be comfy. We remove all socks and tights for safe practice.
What Shall I Bring?
Bring a bottle of water with you and the usual ‘stuff’ for your little one.
Can I Eat Before Class?
If you feel tired or light headed eat a banana or little snack before class - that’s fine.
When Should I Arrive?
Please arrive at least 5-10mins BEFORE the class start time, so you can get settled and we can begin promptly. If you do arrive late please settle in to class as quietly as you can.
What Does Being On The Wait List Mean?
Many our families book several terms in advance so if a class is full the timetable will explain there is a Wait List only for it. You can Sign In to reserve your space on the Wait List. Then if someone in the class cancels their space, you will be notified that you now have a space in the class - be sure to wait for this notification confirming that you have now been removed from the wait list to the class, before coming along.

Generally NO. Every teacher is an independent, self-employed, sole trader. As such, we all operate individually and manage separate finances.
